Easter 2013

On Sunday morning, the Prices woke to find our first set of Easter baskets (second set came from GranLee and Pops!). So fun! While I love the tradition of an Easter basket, it's important for us to use it in a way that leads Liddy to learning more about Jesus and His great sacrifice.

We have decided that our baskets will be filled each year with spiritual gifts (... and some candy ;)). Dave and I want to encourage the real reason behind Easter... Christ's miraculous gift to all of us. They have great resources for children and it was hard not to buy more! She was definitely pleased... especially with the Veggietales xylophone!

We went to church and enjoyed worshiping with other believers and hearing God's word. Such a refreshing  experience every time I go. After the service, we met my family at GranLee and Pops house for an Easter meal. LOVE family time and celebrating our risen King!

WDW... The happiest place on earth!

While I have been to Disneyland and TOKYO Disneyland, I have never been able to make it to Disneyworld. I wanted to go and enjoy it as an adult with Dave... without kids. While Liddy is still young, I decided to "convince" Dave to join me and head to Disney for a long weekend. ;) We have been so blessed because our family members love us well and watch Liddy at the drop of a hat. This trip, however, was for four nights. My parents lovingly watched Liddy for us and we are very grateful.

We had three and a half days to see what each park offered. Due to this fact, Dave and I were exhausted at the end of each day. Our muscles ached from running between rides to get to the next attraction! Totally worth it though... we now know what to expect. I had it in the back of my mind that we needed to learn what to do and not do when we finally did include our kids on the WDW trip. So thankful that we went alone, first! I feel much more prepared to conquer it later WITH kids in tow.

While we longingly looked at strollers and other one year olds (really...), God lovingly reminded us to enjoy our time together by hearing screams of other children. We could just sit back, relax, hold hands, and watch the shows. Such a rejuvenating trip for us as a married couple!

We arrived to the Sanford/Orlando airport via Allegient only to discover that the free bus ride we thought we had did not exist. We did not fly into the RIGHT Orlando airport. Rookie mistake... no "Magic Your Way" desk and free ride for us. Dave calmly made me realize we needed a cab. The dollar signs were exploding in my head as we were an hour from the parks (and because I was paying for this trip using my untouched Priceless Weddings profit...). I think God is always teaching me about money... I tend to underestimate the costs. Traveling is an expensive hobby. :)

We found a cab and had a delightful conversation with our cab driver who had just gotten back from a week in Gatlinburg! He enjoyed his visit but said he didn't need pancakes for a year. If you have been to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, that statement is right on.

We paid the man (ouch) and entered Port Orleans: French Quarter. HIGHLY recommend staying on a Disney property. Free transportation all around (if, of course, you arrive in the right airport). Below is our trip in pictures. Such an amazing experience... and to top it off, it was my birthday!! I am one lucky princess!! ;)
